Convention Photos for everyone to enjoy

We drove 3 days to reach Michigan but once
we arrived we had a great time!

We were surprised by how busy each day
became. Meeting new friends, caring for
bunnies, helping out in the club's booth plus
the show site was so full of things to see
and do - it seemed we hardly had time to sleep.

Each Lionhead was assigned a coop (cage)
many of the breeders put signs on their bunnies.
Since the rabbits at convention are cooped by
color and class (age) the Cole Lionheads were scattered all up and down in the Lionhead
cooping which was in two isles.
The NALRC had a booth where people could come
and get information about Lionheads. It seems it is
traditional that each breed club have a raffle to
raise money and our club did too. There was also a
nice pair of Lionheads donated by the COD holders -
Wetzel and Gibbons.
 the show . . . .
The Lionheads did not show till late on
Wednesday after all the presentations
had been made. The judge was Ron Riddle.
We learned a lot about the breed during the
show watching the judging and visiting with
other breeders. BOB and BOS were won
by Arden Wetzel. Best Senior was
won by Gail Gibbons with her Senior doe.
My dear little friend Abby Gibbons
won the Senior buck class.

Abby who took almost
as many pictures as we
did went home

  Presentation!

Arden watches

three members of the Standard Committee
looking over the Lionhead Presentation.
The tension was high on Wednesday when Arden
made his try at Presentation. We had already been
there since early morning waiting, watching each new
breed or color go up be examined and pass or fail.
It was so sad that he failed. The senior buck had
broken his top teeth completely off, there where only
a few shads of one tooth hanging there. At convention
in opening cooping bucks will often spare through
the wire biting on it to get to other strange boys in
cages around them. How sad to fail for
something like that!
